After the last two posts I feel like I should say something about Sen. McCain. I've read the text of his speech to CPAC today. I was impressed. It should be noted that I've never been a McCain fan. Too often I've felt that McCain has thumbed his nose at some of the things that are most important to me. Foremost among those issues is the rule of law and that I view any sort of amnesty to illegal immigrants an affront to the rule of law. After reading McCain's speech I am surprised to say that tonight he feels much more palatable to me. I can't yet say for sure that I will vote for him but with his speech he has taken big steps forward in my book.
